Just what I did. This is not my personal commercial. This is the recent offering from Ted's bench. Stuff like 40lpi checkering, flush fit mag release, seamless beavertail, flat topped, serrated rear, high polish frame and slide, crisp 4lb trigger on YoBo components, serrated lower of slide stop, mild dehorn, match fit bushing, frame to slide fit, Kart NM barrel, and a set of custom Kingwood stocks purposely selected and cut for this gun.

For the reasons stated above, is the reason I am having my personal Colt Commercial built by Ted. Obviously waiting time in his schedule (two plus years) so I don't want to hear anybody ask when their gun is done. I waited you guys can wait. :P Just a little anxiety when building your own the way this one is being done.

I know it is hard to look at those virgin Colts and think of all that went into those guns. To the LTW smiths they are just a very nice canvas. Something that can be enhanced and modified in order to wring out every ounce of potential. Whether a full house modern build or a retro style sleeper gun. The roll marks, the fit, and their history just begging to start life in a box in a shop and emerge something like this. This one comes with a set of bark elephant ivory as well.

I can't take this any more. Ted, that gun, as usual from you, is just splendid. Steve, I really have to come out to AZ and learn to take some pics like that. Now, you put some ivories on that with a colt rind hammer that's been dressed up a bit and she'd be just what I always dreamed of. You fellas are just kickin' out there.

How sweet it is.

Ted that is just gorgeous.
I mean, does it get any better? 8)

I am ( we all are) forever ruined.

Many thanks to the LTW smiths for teaching me about some of the finer things in life. And to 'Sargent shutter bug' (dont worry I dont think that will stick) for taking the time to take and post so many wonderful fotos.

Jim

Ah, now that's nice. It's just right. A lot of work done, but nothing extreme.
I don't think it would have been considered "wild" 40 years ago, and will probably look fine 40 years in the future.

A museum!?
It belongs in a holster!
