Not too many people doing BHP's these days. The 1911 continues to dominate the custom market. However, a nicely done BHP fits the needs of a number of shooters. Relatively lightweight, easily concealed, and lots o bullets.

Most don't give the design enough credit due to the caliber. On the other side if you put three or four rounds in the ten ring with a BHP it will most likely take care of business.

This one started as a 70's era military surplus gun. The owner was not sure it was salvagable much less a custom candidate. Well, the pictures tell the story. Sights, fronstrap treatment, flat topped, barrel crown, and some TLC and you have IMO one of the finest set ups available. The Spegel stocks looked very nice on this polished blue BHP.

Hope you enjoy the snaps.

Oh dear goodness... that's all I can say.

You don't even know what I'm thinking right now.

GOD Bless you all at Yo-Bo.

Jim,
Ted figured you might enjoy a few snaps before it jumps in a box and heads east. Congrats man, this is a nice gun. Simple, well done, the whole nine.
Take care.

Steve,

I may be wrong, as I don't have a Blue Book in front of me, but this was not a 70's gun, as most"T-Series" guns are, but instead a Post-War late 40's gun. The SN threw me off a bit, but I seem to remember this to be the case. Either way, it started out as a well worn HP. I took a few pics of it before I sent it to AZ just to be sure Ted knew what he was getting into. Here are a few of the before shots to give everyone a feel for the amount of work done.

Ted, I cannot thank you enough. I'll be sure to shoot the snot out of it when it arrives. I have a feeling that Al Shear will get a chance to fondle it, too, and hopefully Chip as well. (Hint Hint, guys!).

Also, can I buy a few mags from you guys? I have NONE! What a travesty.

Jim-

I have basicly the same gun from Ted's shop, as does my brother, it will run better than it looks!!!! :D I don't know if anyone builds a better HP than the YoBo guys. Congrads on the "new" blaster.
As soon as I find a suitable canidate, I'll be sending Ted another HP!

Mark

That gun was in pretty good shape originally. There was a lot of finish wear but no pits and just a few light dings. It only looks about 1000% better though. 8)

Beautiful. I can't believe it's the same gun.
Then again, after eyeballing all the BHPs here and on Y-B's site- what else would I have expected?

I have to scrape up some money and send out a BHP.
