Shortened & countersunk slide stop pin
Ed Brown wide thumb safety reshaped to medium contour

John, Verrry nice. :) In addition to the 45 ACP, I just love the 10MM in a 1911 platform. Accurate and capable of doing just about anything. Really fun when you get one where you can go "all out". Ya done goood.

That would be neat even if it was in 9mm Glisenti.

If I had that gun, it would get me arrested. I'd be trying to show it off all the time. I'd be showing it to people in the checkout line at the supermarket.

That is a damn fine looking Delta. I'm a big 10mm fan and really enjoy geting to see "different" versions of a great gun. Congratulations to the builder and the owner. Shoot it 'til your ammo supply runs dry, restock, and shoot some more.

great gun! im not trying to nit pick somebodys work, but i have a question about the ball cut on the slide. in the first picture it looks like it doesnt match up with the frame?? but on the magazine release side it does?

just wondering if its an optical illusion because of the angle of the picture.....

Gentlemen,
Thanks for your kind comments. I never cease to be amazed by how much enjoyment I can find at this endeavor of customizing guns.

c.rod-
No worries about nitpicking! 8) About the only time that the bottom of the ball cut exactly matches the front of the dust cover is when viewed squarely from the side. Any change in that angle makes a mismatch to appear.

 Wow, John, that is a nice one! I'm glad to see that you are enjoying customizing guns. However, we miss seeing you at the range. South River Single Stack Match is next weekend. Nothing but 1911s...

Hello John, great looking Delta, If a person were to send you a stock Delta and do a full blown makeover something like this one, what kind of time frame are you looking at to complete a project like this.

Thanks
kenner

Wow, that is really fantastic. I had one on layaway when Lou Horton's had the run of 500 blue and stainless ones done and wish I been able to keep it. That looks great.

Colt really needs to bring these back- like so many things the demand for Delta Elites and the various versions got more popular once it was gone.

Great lookin' "X", John. I know how easy it ain't to get an S&A magwell to match up good, that one looks perfect.

The few 10's I've done, I've found the HydraShoks to be accurate (as Federal ammo always seems to be) and milder than some of the rip-snorters out there. Did you get a chance to shoot many varieties through this one?
