I've been busy finishing projects lately and they all wrapped up at the same time. Sorry to flood the bandwidth with my pics, but the end results have been too nice to not share. This pre-Series '70 Government Model was just completed for one of my Georgia Boys. His tastes run to Combat Special style blasters, as you can see from this one. The custom work includes:

Tightened slide to frame fit
Kart Match barrel & bushing
Heinie #300 sights, -w- front narrowed to .110"
Slide serrated on top (30 lpi around radius) and rear (40 lpi)
Ejection port lowered and fluted
Carry Bevel package
Yo-Bo ignition set
Wilson #6B thumb safety
Wilson #298 beavertail
Front strap high gripped & checkered 30 lpi
Baer flat serrated MSH
Beveled mag well
Hogue Cocobolo double diamond grips
Finished in two-tone blued upper and hard chrome by Metaloy lower

I love the Combat Special style 1911. It is my favorite look on a 1911 and this particular example is perfect.

Wow, John ... that turned out super sweet! Great job once again, no surprise. I love its functional beauty, without need for bells and whistles.

That's a beauty... I've always been partial to that combo myself.

The Classic Two Tone gun will survive beyond the rest.

The ones I have kept are all of the classic two tone, whether Colt, or Browning.
