The craftsmanship of the Yost/Bonitz Custom shop is shown here. All of you have seen what these guys can do with stainless, blue, lightweight, and Brownings.

This may be available soon. The buyer wants a WWI Repro built the same way.

I have to admit as good as those grips look, The ones on this gun are pale in camparison to the ones by Yost/Bonitz that are handmade and blended such as those on the light weight commander also shown in an adjacent thread.

If you get grips on your gun get them from the shop. These one on the gun are good but the ones from the shop are exceptional.

Please keep in mind I am the furthest you can get from a professional photographer. You will see grease, dust and all of the imperfections.

If you can find any

I remember that one, Terry...

It fell short of a full Signature Grade in only two respects - I didn't address the frame lines around the guard, and the customer supplied the Esmerelda grips, so I didn't have to make a set. I thought of recontouring the grips to give me better edges, but thought better of it. Esmerelda puts such a nice finish on - one that actually keeps the wood from darkening. That's hard to do - I wish I knew what she used!

Ted, I emailed her about the finish once when I needed to touch up a scratch grip. She said she uses high gloss tung oil. I've used Formby's with good results.
