Like it or not we have been getting some guns out the door lately. There are about a half dozen LW Colts leaving soon and some full house stuff is almost done. Pictures and posts are a luxury when we have time. Well, I have had a little time lately. So bear with me while we get some pics up of some recent builds. Building for any customer is a pleasure. Some customers know exactly what they want and that makes some of the work easier. Others just say "do what you want" I know Ted enjoys those the most as any smith would. You get a blank canvas and you create what you have in your head. Chuck Rogers, Tim Brian and Ned Christiansen are famous for it. Fortunately, I have found a great deal of satisfaction building for friends. Probably because they don't realize how much I don't know. :?
This one was built for a fellow LE friend who said "I just want it hard chromed, everything else is up to you." I said "great" And as usual Ted and Lew shook their head as I started.

This one started out as a new production Series 70. Fairly simple carry gun with some mindful extras thrown in for a very special friend. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Yost-Bonitz sights are getting popular with quite a few shooters.

Enough for now, we have a blued one coming out which we should get some photos of.

This is some fine work Steve and I am really beginning to like the looks of a solid hard chrome finish. The finish is easy on the weapon and shooter cleans up nice and can sure take the abuse.

Keep up the good work. One of these days don't be surprised to see an old Grey haired fat but, only pleasantly so. fellow come walking in asking where the boss is and that I am ready to work.

Gary,
Hard chrome grew on me and certainly all the things you said. Looking forward to meeting you. You realize AZ and MI are a couple miles apart? Nice to hear from you.

You obviously enjoy your time at the bench! You can always tell when a man enjoys his work!

Be well!

Very nice.
So, I guess there is the occasional gun that doesn't go home with you.

About that rear sight- Is it avaiable in different dovetail sizes? I don't remember seeing anything about that possibility on the website.
Of course, I'm sure anything is possible.

I think I'm going to have Yost-Bonitz eventually "upgrade" my 10mm Retro Rocket to look like that. Maybe after Ted's done with my Caspian project? Because that looks PERFECT to me.

So many awesome guns, so little money in my bank account. That is a beauty. I'm getting lots of ideas from your last few posts, Steve. Keep it up.
