Now the good stuff:

Very nice blaster Brian.

Now just send it up to me and I'll make sure it gets a nice break-in :)

Enjoy!

Man that thing is begging for some serious trigger time! Nice piece.

Beautiful, as usual, John.

Congrats to both Brian and John.

That is a fine looking blaster.

I also like the cuts on the side of the slide serrations which kind of turn it into a rib. Nice touch.

Best,

Ray

I am waiting to get a beauty like that. I want one,but I will pay for it.

Tomorrow I'll get to see Brian run that gun through its wringer, in a steel challenge match. That's pretty ballsy, shootin' a virgin blaster in a speed match.

Great looking pistola Brian... Welcome to the Harrison/Caspian club... The Caspian that John did for me is my favorite piece... I really like the matte blue with the polished flats on the slide... Very clean looking... Enjoy!

Mark - thanks for the offer but I took care of that today :) .

I just got backfrom the local steel match. The gun was great, wish I could say the same about myself :x .

John - glad you like the pics. Every now and then a blind squirrel finds an acorn. I think I must of took 200 shots to get the ones I posted. I'll get you a cd with the high res versions if you'd like.

I'm glad you all like it. It's the first custom I've commisioned and I am thrilled with the result. John is truly a talented craftsman and I look forward to dealing with him again in the future.

Thanks again,

Brian

That is a great looking gun, Brian! Looks like a big twin brother to my soon-to-be-ready CCO. :) I think I'm starting to see a pattern in John's work - his own style if you will. Or maybe it's just us, his customers, all have the same taste when it comes to 1911s. :)

Or you can just email them to me and I'll take care of the rest. Wait... Better yet, why don't you just send me the gun and I'll take some pictures of it *exactly* the way I need them for the website. It won't take me long - 3-4 weeks and you'll have it back. ;)

I am on the list!

John is a great guy who does great work. He turned a mediocre Baer into a special piece for me. Highly recommended.

John,

Somehow, some way, I missed this one the first time. This gun is absolutely fantastic. I have become a huge fan of borders and ball cuts on slides as a means of making them look clean and creating a transition between the flats and the rounds. Your example here is as good as I've seen. Everything about it just whispers class and purpose. I'd be proud to own that gun. You have any lying around?

Thanks for your kind words, Jim. That is high praise and means a lot. I am only able to take care of my orders and only rarely get the chance to build one just to sell.
Stay tuned, though 'cause I know you like Delta's and I've just sent a pretty nice one out for Black-T. I'll put some pics up when it gets back.

That is one amazing pistol. The metal work is just unbelievable. Of course, I expect it will shoot better than it looks.

The grip screws are interesting. I really like the look of slotted screws but have to be very careful when removing/replacing ivory grips. The hex heads, while not as pleasing to my eye, eliminate the chance of grip damage. The combo screw seems like a good solution.

I love the way the whole pistol just flows.

Very very nice. Its rare that I look at a pistol and don't say "I like it, but if it were mine, I'd do this different." There isn't anything about that gun I would change. I love the serratted front strap and the single safety. Well planned and well executed.

I actually got to see and fondle this pistol when I stopped by John's shop. Holy Hannah!! This pistol looks better in the flesh.
