Here's a CQB that I purchased not long after Wilson started making them. It has been an accurate and reliable pistol and I have carried and shot it a lot. After a few years, I finally got burned out on the green and black and wanted something a little more business like. I have a custom John made that has a Birdsong Black T finish, and have liked the finish a lot so, I sent the CQB off to him to get it BT'd. Of course when you have some of John's guns and know what all he can do, it's hard to stop with just a finish. So, I had him go to town on the slide. He serrated the top, added a french border to the side, beveled the bottom, and serrated the back to match the Heinie he added, along with loosing the ambi and sticking a standard Colt thumbsafety on it.

It's the carpet in the basement RT..

Mod's feel free to delete the double-tap post and edit the size as I couldn't seem to edit it to a normal view. Thanks.

Heres the back of the slide..

That is quite an improvement over the stock CQB. Very nice pistol. Almost makes me regret the Protector I sold.

The serrated rear of the slide really works when paired with the proper rear sight. I also like the "pointed" serrrations on the top of the slide. Have not seen one of John's pistols with that pattern on the top of the slide. Looks great.

The all grey one? :) I don't think that owner will let it out in the sun light again.

That is the one. Very good shooter, but I did not like the idea of cutting into the finish to get the pistol I wanted. I did pretty good on the deal as I was the second owner, and I much prefer the Series '70 that came my way with the funds. :)
