We've had a lot of traffic/repair/finishing work on the ultimate gas guns people are using for bullseye shooting to the point that somehow we've become the authority on getting the guns to work properly. The problem as been with recoil. The bullseye shooters are using puff loads but that does not work with the ultimate gas guns to make them work. Now a lot of the shooters are selling their guns simply because they cannot handle the recoil the guns need to make them work. Puff loads won't do it.

I was wondering if any of you have had notice of this.

We've has a lot of success with the super gas guns but so far the ultimates are defeating their shooters. The ultimates are great for shooting but they take a lot of work to get them right as advertized. It took a lot of "praying" to get them right here at the shop.

Genie, what is the gas gun you're talking about? Only thing I can think of is that gas-op top end for a 1911? Didn't know they were popular with Bullseye guys....

Yes, the NCG Gas Gun top end is what I'm talking about. You can read about them at http://www.ncggasgun.com . It's a very good system but for it to work it has to be gut together by someone who knows what he's doing.
