Alright guys I know from other forums about the wealth of knowledge here... and I was just wondering if you all could enlighten me. I picked up a used Caspian Commander for my first 1911... only problem is there is slop in the slide to frame fit (Vertical as well as horizontal) I am ordering a new barrel bushing and am just worried that the slop will still cause a loss of accuracy. I am in Michigan and don't have an issue sending my firearm out... just wondering how much a frame tightening may cost. Thanks so much for the help.

The actual frame to slide fit is not that crucial to accuracy. A well fit barrel and bushing will determine a great deal of the gun's accuracy. If you have a specific question about the price any of the shops charge look at their websites, give them a call, or an email.

If you don't want to send the gun out, you could call Marianne Carniak in Troy, I'm sure she'd take a look at the gun for you. Steve is right, though- barrel fit is MUCH more important to accuracy than slide to frame fit.
