Louder Than Words was started to further the field in custom gun crafting, and to give something back to people in need. As a result, two of our smiths donated their time, equipment, parts, and in this case a gun. As we talked to various charities and organizations, it occured to us that it is necessary for us to be able to reach out to these organiztions that will benefit from our efforts.

To that end, Ted provided this .40 S&W Browning Hi Power, and both Don and Ted pooled their talents. It's sale will help defray costs and provide us all the opportunity to gather as a group at the 2005 Shot Show by affording us greater representation and exposure. It was a pleasure shooting pics of a gun done by two different smiths. Something you don't see often.

Don Williams did the entire top end of the gun while Ted concentrated on the lower. The result speaks for itself.

Not a LTW piece, but nice nonetheless! Hope you enjoy the pics.

The backstrap matches the front very nicely. 8) 8)

Don Williams did a flat topped and skipped serration job on the flat top that is absolutely perfect.

This one shows the coordination between the serrations and the front sight.

Ted added and extended custom thumb safety. Like everything else no detail was spared on this one.

As a huge 1911 fan, I'm also a BIG Hi-Power fan, especially in .40 cal. Don did trigger jobs on both of my BHP Forties, a high polished blue and a silver chrome. The triggers actually approach a decent quality 1911 trigger... and I find that to be an amazing feat! My Hi-Powers have been totally transformed into wonderful shooters. And there's just something about the feel in the hand and the pointing of a Hi-Power that is astounding. Thanks Don, nice work!
