I've looked and looked and did a search and can't find this topic. There was someone on here that had a Colt WWI repro customized by Yost. He said he had dropped the pistol and thats why he decided to have it customized. I'm thinking about sending mine to Yost for something similar but I'd like to read that topic again. Does anyone know where it went?

I'm thinking about a very mild bevel of the edges, his retro sights, and a trigger job. I want to keep the exterior look as much as original as possible. The guy in the post I'm looking for had the hammer slightly bobbed and thats what I really want to see again.

cathellsk,

That was my gun, but it was not a Yost custom, it was a Dave Sams gun. It turned out great, shot unbelievably well, and maintained the old school look of the WWI repro. Dave can be reached at (804)375-3782. There isn't a nicer guy out there and he's one of the best gunsmiths in the land.

I pulled the post because that gun is no longer mine and the owner didn't want it shown on the internet. I can send some pics to you via e-mail if you'd like, along with the details of the build.

Yes please do. My email is cathellsk@yahoo.com or ash4605@bop.gov
If you could send them to both emails that would be great. Thanks!

Fellas,

With all the responses here, I have decided to try and get permission to re-post the pics. Where was all the interest a month ago? Geeeeeeeeez! Just kidding.

The quickest way to get people to want something is to tell them that they can't have it or they are not available anymore :D

Jim,

I have enjoyed your past posts with your other pistols (Modern Day Swenson and Combat Commander). Somehow I missed seeing your retro.

Would you please email me the pictures (bmarcov@speedpost.net) and build info. I'm planning to redo my series 70 into a retro and am always looking for ideas and builders.

thanks
Brian
