Mine! :D

Fedex dropped off my Colt today, and I must say I was very excited. It's no full house custom, but it is the finest piece of machinery I've ever held in my hands. I can't thank the YoBo crew enough for the fine work they've done on this pistol.

Sure wish I was a better photographer. The pictures don't begin to do it justice.

My lightweight Commander is in the batter's box. This could get expensive... :D

Hey, that's nice.
Congrats!

I think the pics are great. But you're right, NO photos can do them justice, can they? You really do "have to be there".

Can't wait for my HP.

Very nice, gun and pictures. Do you shoot at South River Gun Club? If you are a member, hope to run into you and see this fine piece in person.
Congratulations.

Thanks, Barry. Smooth one, I do indeed shoot at South River. It's a great club. I've been meaning to take up IDPA there, but keeping backing out. Hope to see you there.

I'm jealous kicstart, is that a 1* Enhanced model? It is truly a great looking pistol. How long did you have to wait to get it? I can't wait to hear a range report on it. Seeing work like that makes my head hurt trying to decide who I will be shipping my Colt to, the pain lol!

It is a 1* Enhanced, with a few personal touches. I'm a lefty, so it was really important to me to have an ambi-safety as solid and reliable as possible. Yost-Bonitz really came through for me in that respect.

It's funny, I reckon most people, on receiving such a pistol, would be playing with the trigger and dry-firing. Me, I can't stop fiddling with the ambi-safety. 8)

Smooth One, I may be able to make that. My email is kicstart at charter dot net.

Ted, does this one incorporate a stop pin for the ambidextrous safety? It is kinda of difficult to see, but appears to have one. Very nice gun!!! Of course they all are!

Yes, the customer specified the stop pin. They're probably a superfluous addition, or at least a "belt and suspenders fix", as there are two easier ways to stop the right half of the safety using the right grip panel. Grip panel solutions only work perfectly until someone changes the grips, though -something 1911 owners hardly ever do

Ted, I think some of us 1911 owners change grips more often than we change boxers. :P

The way the grip panels are set up, Ted is right, the pin is unnecessary. I asked for the pin because, as Ted mentioned, I might want to change grips down the road, and my fitting job is not likely to be as good as his.

And also, I'm just a little obsessive about ambis. Did I mention the lever is made of unobtainium?

I thought that only Novak's were available as part of the 1* package. Those look suspiciously like Heinie rear sites?
