Just got this back from Condition One; Dave Erickson. Its a 9/9x23 all Caspian gun. It was originally set up as a 9mm back in the mid 90's both barrels are Nowlin but the 9x23 was fitted up a few years back.

I sent it to Dave for some "refinement" and he came thru in spades. The job list: EGW bushing and recoil plug, tightened barrel lock up, serrated rear of slide, Greider slide stop, EGW firing pin stop, Heine trigger, Mars mainspring, dehorn and polish, new pins and springs, reliability package, VZ grips, chamfered slide stop hole and flatened slide stop, magwell bevel and refinish. Great service, great communication, great work. On to the pics:

Sorry about the lighting in the pictures. The blue job on this gun is represented in the top right picture which I hit with a flash. It is a nice uniform black.

Best to all,

Dan

DanT- Have you experimented with .38 Super in your 9X23 chamber? I am interested in chambering info-

AJ,

Yes, works fine with Super +P in Nowlin barrels. Both barrels are standard ramp which in my opinion feeds better than ramped barrels.

I do change the recoil spring out and put in a shock buff when shooting Super or 9x23. Make sure you have the proper firing pin length as the 9x23 will cause the slide to unlock before the pin retracts and either pierce the primer or smear it. The EGW square stop will also help slow things down.

On another note I have noticed more muzzle blast with the Super +P than the 9x23. You think it would be the other way around. Must be powder differences.

Hope this helps.

Rgds,

Dan

Only that is chambered for the 9x23. Nowlin makes some good barrels.

OK, enlarged the pics for better detail and added the 2 x 9mm.
