I just picked up a custom Springfield in commander size with a light weight frame burried Bomars (rounded) Barsto barrel, modified beavertail, solid trigger, trigger job. I don't know who did the work but it looks pretty good. The slide has been re-blued and it's a plum color. Anyone know why the slide is a plum color and if it was reblued would it remain a plum color?

Thanks TJ

Color can vary depending on the alloy, heat-treat and particular blueing salts used. A good bluer can vary things to get the color away from the plum and back to black.

Why don't you show us a picture. Personally I like plum in some cases.
