How to spice it up a bit from the matte grey looking plain jane pistol, to maybe a deeper (blacker?) or maybe shinier flats?

Is it pretty inexpensive to beadblast this stuff off?
Its so ugly!!

Anybody have any pictures of um, "slightly polished" parkerization?

Also, if it were beadblased, does anything else have to be done to the pistol for preventative maintence?

Oh by the way, the pistol in reference is a Springfield GI.

Sorry, parkerizing will always be matte. The metal has to be blasted to a matte finish in order for the parkerizing to "take". If you want something a bit shinier, you'll need another type of finish. Regards,
