See, thats what I'm talking about. Everything you NEED in a defensive pistol. I have two 1991A1s and would love to get one of them worked over.

That is a sweet piece. Can we get some details, Chuck? Whose grips are those? Are there any concerns about fitting a gun that is going to be hard chromed? Once again... great looking pistol.

Chuck,
A masterpiece! I think that I've looked at the pictures five times today and each time spot subtle little details that really highlight your attention to detail and search for perfection.

Every time Chuck posts a picture of his newest Art piece, it just makes me that much prouder to say "I own a 1911 sculpted by Chuck Rogers".

Awesome work Chuck! Also to Pete Single; that is one heck of checkering job!

Chuck I have to ask about the grips, where did they come from? Great looking pistol, simple elegance with just the right amount of function thrown in....

Thanks for all the nice comments, guys! :D
The grips are Black Double-diamond checkered micarta from Smith and Alexander.
Pete Single's shop is about 2500 miles away from mine!
He checkers for Novak's and a handfull of other smiths. I'm very fortunate to be on his short list. :D
