Here's a brief photo essay of a retro-styled Hi-Power care of Jim Hoag. I’ll let the pictures do the talking... enjoy!! :D

Nice one. Do you know when it was built? Details on how it shoots etc?

Are you the original owner ?

I know he is still in business - I wonder if he still does High Powers ?

I think you better sell me that rust old Gerber. I wouldn't want you to have to got through the pain of getting a tetanus shot! Awsome HP by the way. Prob. the only 9mm I would own.

Thanks for the offer. That knife is probably more interesting than the Hi-Power and has more real history and real use than most.

OldLawman – I am not the original owner of the gun and, yes, Hoag still works on Hi-Powers as well as 1911s.

Hello. I've long been a fan of Mr. Hoag's guns' looks. Never owned one, but if they shoot half as good as they look, they are winners.

(I'll bet they do.)

Thanks for letting us see the great pictures.

Best.

That's purty (of course I think most HPs are). Thanks for sharing- always like your goodies.
Good to hear that he is still building guns, I didn't know one way or the other.

Lameyknives-
I obviously don't know when the work was done, but the serial number shows the gun to be made in 1989, if that narrows it down.
