Neat gun Mr. Behlert. Can you pass on any build tips on these mine HPs?

These pistols were popular in my career since the late 60s. 9 mm was the choice of a great many in law enforcement. I built them for Fed Agents whose life was on the line every day in far away places. I have letters raving over them and the fact that it saved thier life on many occations. I built the first one for my late friend Mason Williams writer who wrote my first feature The Wizard of Cranford in the 70s. I lived in Cranford, N.J. at the time and he even had my phone number in the artical. It sure brought me in many orders.

The conversion took 1 inch off the sslide and barrel and 3/4 of the butt. All the internals had to be made or modified to fit. The mag held 10 and one in the chamber 9mm. This sight was one I designed and patented and I installed many on 1911s as well. Austin

Can we convince you to have them manufactured again? The sights looks like one of your sights for SW revolvers. Do you have more pictures of your sight?

If my mother would talk to me more, I could convince her to let me get the 3 or 4 revolvers you worked on for my dad and I would have to ask for pictures.

Any chances of having the sights manufactured again? Have you found any in your attic lately?

Thanks,
Lester

Austin,
Thank you very much for providing an illustration of where alot of todays guns have gone. I am taking note of how functional and necessary mods you did on carry guns for guys who needed them. Thanks for posting the pictures.

I keep seeing people asking about making the Mini Brownings again, how do I get one, etc.

If I'm not mistaken, upon his retirement Mr Behlert's business was taken over by Art Liecke, who still offers the same, or similar, gun.
Also if I'm not mistaken (I sure do have to say that a lot) Mr Liecke is his son-in-law.

Edited to add:
Now I open my eyes, and see that Mr Behlert already gave that info in another post on them. Sorry.
