Gentlemen,
Here's the poop on the family:
The In-Laws are 1911s. I started off shooting nothing but revolvers, and still have a very soft spot in my heart for a well-build big bore. I used to think semi-autos were for cops, thugs, and match shooters only. But... things change and we evolve into smarter, more respectable people (hopefully) as we go.
The commander is a Caspian based 10mm with a Bar-Sto, FLGR, Novak sights, McCormick Beavertail, McCormick hammer, strut, slide stop, mag catch, sear, and disconnector, 20lpi checkering, and 20lpi checkered Ed Brown wedge MSH.
The Razorback is descirbed in my most recent post here:

The Delta Elite is described here:

The Caspian 5" .45ACP is described here:

The two longslides are "twins" of sorts. They are the first 1911s Dave built for me, and both use Caspian slides (I wish now I had NOT gotten the big logo and front serrations), Caspian cast frames, Bo-Mar BMCS sights, McCormick beavertails, Ed Brown MSH, hammer, sear, disconnector, thumb safety, and slide stop, Nowlin pin set and plunger tube, Greider long solid triggers, and 20lpi checkering. The 45 has a Kart 6" barrel, and the 10mm a ramped Bar-Sto with a threaded, replaceable "bull" cone bushing.
The Ruger Redhawk is a blackened stainless .41 mag with Bowen sights (great sights for any Ruger), a recrowned, rethroated barrel, and a great single action trigger (I don't shoot it DA).
The Ruger Bisley is a .41 mag that has been totally rebuilt and tightened/smoothed in every way. It has an 8" Douglas bull barrel, steel ejector rod housing, custom steel scope base, 2x Burris dot scope, and fitted Hogue grips. It shoots even better than it looks, but only with 210-250gr bullets. Don't ask me, I just own it.
The top is a stock Freedom Arms 10" .454 Casull with an SSK TSOB mount and 2x Leupold. Freedom Arms makes guns that work and shoot with no modifications, and I have no reason to even consider changing it in any way. Right now, it's the only gun I own that Dave has not worked over in some way or another.
Happy Shooting!
