Warning: this pistol is not HIGHLY customized and my photography doesn't measure up to Mr. Bailey's and others but...

I'm a lover, not a fighter, which is to say I'm really a collector that sometimes shoots and sometimes needs/wants to carry something. I bought a Kimber Series I for a platform and found that the damn thing wouldn't shoot. Actually it shot fine but there was a barrel/slide misalignment or something because you could barely keep it on the left edge of the paper at 9 yards! Even though I bought it used, Kimber took it back and did a ton of work on it for free. They replaced the barrel, sights and internal parts becuase it also had a mushy thumb safety. When I got it back it shot fine and they had obviously smoothed up the trigger quite a bit too. I then sent it to Tim for just basic reliability work and a little light customizing. It isn't a highly refined piece but it suits my needs very well.

Hey Kevin, how's it going?

Hope she's shooting well for you!

Tim,
It shoots as good as I can. I get lots of compliments on it at the range.
Regards,
Kevin

Great looking pistol. You and I think a lot alike. The link below is my Compact Stainless that I had worked over by John Harrison.

Yep, I loke yours too. Tell me about the grips. Who/where/how much? I've still got to find a good holster/carry rig for mine. Any suggestions?

The grips are from Carryguns.com and are the 'compact hard use' model. They are bead-blasted micarta. Price was $45 if I recall correctly.

As far as holsters go, I just switched to a Sparks Summer Special II from a Sparks Versa-Max 2. Both are great holsters but the SS II is more comfortable for me. I heartily recommend either.

Very nice, Kevin. Based on your picture, it looks like it is shooting just fine.

My compliments to Mr. Brian...again.

As far as holsters go, I second tweetbb's Versa-Max 2 recommendation. I find mine to be very comfortable.

Enjoy that pistol...

Ty, you're exactly right. I have more than a couple of 1911's but this is the only post-1945 pistol I own. BUSTED!
