Well this is like putting on an old pair of boots. I haven't taken photos and posted pictures of an LTW or HP gun in some time. Hopefully some of the pictures will do this gun justice. Late last year Ned and I completed a very unique gun. Before we started I sent it to Ned and asked if he would machine his "frag" treatment on the front strap and MSH. He also did an unbelievable mag well treatment. If you haven't seen Ned's work up close, the detail is beyond impressive.

My idea was to have this unique frag treatment on an otherwise somewhat traditional gun thinking each style would play off well against one another. After we finished this gun it is certainly something I would utilize on a personal gun. The hard chrome finish has proven itself for a lot of us here in Arizona as a great finish for concealed carry. We put a lot of custom touches in this one and spared expense in parts and modifications. Several years ago a very good friend of mine gave me a couple of Chip McCormick frames. It was always an idea to build myself a gun on one of these frames because the quality is unreal. However, LTW comes first and this is the last of those frames. CMC doesn't manufacture these any longer and none of us at LTW expect to see one again. We are certainly proud this went together on behalf of LTW. Nice to get some time to post like this again. Hope things find everyone well. Please enjoy the pictures.

Here are some of the details.

-Flattened and serrated slide top
-Oversize CMC frame fit to Caspian slide
-Kart barrel and bushing
-Best quality internals including tool steel action components
-Polished slide flat and matte blast frame finished in hard chrome
-HP Professional Grade rear sight with black dovetailed front sight
-Ned Christiansen FRAG front strap and MSH
-Beveled mag well
-VZ FRAG grips
-EGW grip safety
-Colt commercial thumb safety
-Complete line straightening
-Lowered and flared ejection port
-Complete dehorn

Great job on the pics Steve, and you definitely held up your end on the co-build.

Frag is so much cooler now that VZ's making the grips with it.

That is one of the nicest chrome jobs I've seen. That from a source that is doing work only for Heirloom Precision or can we know whodunnit?

Very nice indeed Gentleman! I really am starting to like that frag pattern, and the magwell on this one is really sleek also.

Well I don't like it. I'm getting sick of seeing that frag pattern. Don't put something out there to tease me if you're not going to make it available to me.  Beautiful work, but you gotta start offering that to folks or at least give your blessing to a qualified, reputable smith to provide it (franchise?).

Bill, that is totally legit and a more timely complaint has never been uttered!

My way of saying, "I'm on it" but that does not necessariy mean "at warp factor 6". We'd be there already if I had more time and dylithium crystals..... but I was discussing it with some one not 15 minutes ago.

I want to just throw out a little reminder here of exactly what a "team gun" is.

LTW has to pay for square feet at venues like SHOT and the NRA Show just like everyone else. It ain't cheap. One thing we're NOT going to do is take it out of the proceeds from the charity guns that get raffled-- it is critical to us that whatever funds are generated by these efforts, every penny of it must go to the designated charity. None of us takes anything for our work on any of these projects, be it a charity raffle gun or a team gun. The team guns are something we collaborate on-- usually in teams of two-- to help fund our presence at these venues to keep up our visibility as a charity and to sell tickets. We put in the time on a team gun at no charge or we take the money out of our wallets-- but we need to maintain this presence in the industry. It is what has enabled us to channel hundreds of thousands to the beneficiaries selected by LTW.

So-- just reminding everyone that this gun is not a "gun for sale" that will help Bailey and me make car payments. Proceeds from this are what keeps LTW in everyone's face, selling tickets to benefit the selected charity.
