So SO busy, I only had time to do one display piece for SHOT 2012. I'll be at the LTW booth (#2243) Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Looking forward to visiting with both old and new friends!

Oh, and just for you Patrick, no HP cuts on this one...

Beginning with a Series 70 Colt Government Model:

My, my that's a nice-looking blaster. My checkbook scurried off and hid, the moment I saw that photo.

Poor thing was just afraid I'd give in to temptation.

If i ever win the lottery, everyone on LTW would be booked for years to come.

It's a Colt 70, it's blue, and it's perfection...just my taste.

Edit: ok I'm an idiot, what's the round thingy left rear frame/slide junction?

Hey, wait a minute.... that target's dated 12-28-11.... you've had that thing done for weeks, I'm crying foul here! No fair not scrambling at the last minute like the rest of us....

Looks real nice, C.T. You bring the peanut butter, I'll bring the jelly.

there are too many cool little details to take in at one time. Every time I look again, I see something new to look at. Is it the lighting or are those tiny little ball cut chamfers on the slide? I like the contour of the rear of the slide too. That is new to me. Super nice pistol.

FINALLY.... It's been 6 months since you've posted an exhibit. I was 'bout to wonder what happened to your shop!? Refreshing to see your work again. Thank you!

I can't remember--why is the back of the slide cut "almost" like a pure 'Flatback', but not quite? I remember there was a technical reason for it but disremember exactly why...

Who is the manufacturer of the rear sight and why did you change from your usual Heinie Low Mount Slant Pro?

Patrick, you can tell your checkbook to come out of hiding - this piece is already spoken for...

Bob, Acc-U-Rails indeed.

Dork, in this instance, the different treatment for the back of the slide was just a preference that I thought would look pretty cool. The rear sight is my own design.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments.

These things are such works of art! I would be terrified to carry a pistol like that. I'd just pull it out once a day and drool and pet it! The first time I carried a pistol like that I'd probably get into a fight with a dirt bag suspect on some roadside and it would get all road rashed!

Really amazing work, thanks for sharing such a wonderful piece, the owner will love that!

C.T., it was great to see you and that beautiful pistol. The new owner is a very lucky guy!

Please give your bride my best, and tell her it was complete B.S. that I had to put up with you and didn't get the benefit of seeing her again! :D

Maybe the best high end custom 1911 I have seen on these pages. Lots of little details that I keep finding!
