I haven't any idea who did the work, but they took due care and in my opinion did quite a nice job. In any case, here's a early Commander that shows it's age but shoots quite nicely. Hard chrome frame with an Ed Brown bobtail, Novak sights, Ed Brown thumb safety, I think that's an STI hammer and beavertail, and those might be Craig Spegel grips.

Love it when the blued finish gets worn like that!
Nice piece!

I'd like to see more of the frontstrap. Looks like a pattern I did only once (not on the above gun) that I called Glyph. Whatever that pattern is it is not very wide but looks like it could be interesting.

The grip safety has the STI-style narrowed top, but that doesn't mean it's an STI. I'd have said the hammer was from EGW but that's not a style I've used so not sure. I've seen those triggers before but can't really ID it. Have they not been used on factory Kimbers? I think the work was done mid-to-late 90's at the earliest....? Looks nice.

Ned, when I get home tonight I'll post a direct picture of the pattern that repeats on both the front strap and the MSH. At first I thought it was just artistic license (and it does look nice) but it provides surprisingly positive traction as well.

Not what I thought it might be. Like the "peanut" grips from Kimber...... looks like it oughtta work though.
