I sent my Springfield Mil-spec to Yost-Bonitz for the
1* Enhanced package. I asked for further enhancements
of a Kart barrel, tighter slide to frame, serrated
slide top and bar-dot night Novak sights. I also acquired
a set of grips from Larry Davidson.

I was very pleased with the appearance of the gun. At the
range, I shot a couple of hundred rounds using Wilson,
Novak and generic magazines. Everything worked perfectly.

I also shot some Doubletap 200gr .45 ACP to see how they
worked. I liked the extra authority of the round and the
1* worked flawlessly with those loads.

Thank you Lew, Ted and a few other people I spoke to.

Guys, I have purchase several of the 1* guns and BHP's for resale in the past, contracted for several others and intend to see what I can purchase, funds permitting of course, at the Shot Show as well as keep some in the pipeline in the future and everyone of those clients who possess the guns is more than satisfied.

There are only a few shops and a couple of the majors who still adhere to those standards.

Craftsmanship is what it is all about and keeps these these guys in business as you can see many others fall by the way side.

At the risk of repeating myself, "I love 1* pistols!!!" Another nice one.

That's a very interesting pattern on the grips. What does Larry call that one?

I like it!
Nice watch, too. I can't tell for sure what it is, though. Is it an Omega Speedmaster?

Witherspoon, those are the Spyro-gyro single color black grips, but,
without the concentric circles he shows on his web site.

Unfortunately, while looking for the grips, I saw a knife Larry makes
that I "need" now. :D

harryg. - I know the feeling. I'm starting to feel a real "need" for a set of those grips. :D

Thank you, sir, for your reply.
