Well, as most of you know the Yost-Bonitz Custom Emporium has expanded over the last year with Ted moving south down into Phoenix adding his brother-in-law Lew Bonitz making rifles and supporting the pistol work, more space, machines, and finally a new appretismith. Several weeks ago Ray Harms finally took the plunge and joined the shop. The right person at the right time. Ray knows his way around the machines due to his engineering background, and knows his way around the guns because he has been an enthusiast his entire life.

So, add those ingredients together and you have some very tastefully done guns. This is Ray Harms rendition of a very popular package at Yost-Bonitz, the 1* with beavertails. This gun is ordered and built quite often because it offers all the things a working professional needs and provides someone who needs a very nice gun at a very nice out of pocket. And Ray says you can have them any way you want, chocolate, or vanilla.

Obviously Ray understands how to get it done. Nice to have you Raymond.

Did I mention we do these mostly on the NRM guns from Colt. Yeah, they gotta have the Pony. Even though Ray still tells me about the virtues of owning a P7. Ya gotta make room for everyone. :P Nice work Ray.

An apt pupil, indeed....

Ray does indeed know how to get it done. That shuffling sound you hear is Ted making room in the vault for Ray's new customers.

Nice work, Ray. Be Proud. After two weeks as a pistolsmith not a lot of guys could finish up a pair that nicely.

BTW, I do help Steve with sight cuts and some of the stuff that requires a lot of muscle ( like squeezing Colt slides  ), but Ray did this pair on his own. Just a little nit-picking and complaining from that yoda dude.

Wait till you see the Delta!

Gorgeous guns! :D I have one on the way at some point & I think I will need to add a vanilla one to the fold as well as possibly a springfield just to have the full variety 8)

Very nice!
Good job by Mr. Harms.
And a good job by Mr. Yost for snagging him.
I've read many of his posts here and there, and it's always good info. Of course, a lot of those posts have been regarding one of my favorites- the P7, but I just hate to bring that up again.

I liked the looks of these two so much I just upgraded my gun on order to include the beavertail and Ted's complete ignition set.

Now when I get lonesome I can just look at this thread and think, "My turn is coming". :D

Thanks guys.
