John,

Very nice! Help me out: The frame looks short; is this a CCO configuration?

Thanks!
Aubrey

I got to handle this little blaster, wish I could take it home.

The rear sight is by SDM (Scott Mulkerin), I really like it, if I have a chance to use it on my next gun, I will.

The frame is Caspian officer's size stainless.

Sweet Johnny! That strikes me as the perfect sized carry pistol, meticulously executed. That's like the friendliest looking roundbut treatment I've seen...very creative! Man, it's gonna be a fun booth at the show........ :D

I am a Springfield .45 Guy ( TRP and MilSpec with some parts) but I have to say wow. I will need John to handle the upgrades on the milspec, now just have to wait for my bonus in Feb. I like the frame grip work. I am torn between this and the conymids. Other than that, Im easy to please , just make it reliable, and accurate. Great work John!

I got to fondle (er, handle) John's CCO today. The pictures really do not do this pistol justice. It is a pleasure to hold and to behold. The slide bluing contrasts nicely with the stainless frame. As usual, John's metal work is precise and elegant.

There are so many little details on this one that require handling to appreciate. My favorite is the rounded treatment of the frame butt and mainspring housing. It really makes the pistol sitt much more comfortably and secure in the hand. I have small hands, and the bottom of the grip frame is just about level with the bottom of my hand when in firing position.

This was also the first pistol I have handled with the SDM rear sight. I think the sight picture is good for my eyes, but I would need to shoot it for a while to be sure.

As for the Mil-Spec smooth one mentioned, I am the new owner. It is presently back with John for a few tweaks to better suit my needs. Functionally, it is never let me down; the tweaks are all ergonomic.

So is that an SDM sight? Have not seen one yet but Scott Mulkerin is something of a pal and fellow Second Chance Shoot vet.... sure he'll be at SHOT at the Pistolsmith Guild booth... dude's got some good stuff going on and rates a look fer sure.

Note to self, find way to score miniature spy camera prior to working shifts at LTW's SHOT booth!
