Professional Grade rear sights for the Kimber…

Image

Pretty much the same formula as our other Professional Grade (PG) sights, this time to fill the need for a superior sight for Kimber shooters. As with the other PG sights the Kimber units are precision machined from bar-stock, serrated at 50lpi, will take pretty much any tritium configuration one desires, and feature a 0.140” wide rear notch. Pretty good stuff if you ask me. :D

Excellent news for Kimber owners. In addition to being a notable equipment upgrade, I must say that the sight is aesthetcally pleasing, particularly in that profile shot!

I've been telling Burton to make them for the Glock... he has some silly argument about rounded slide edges and funny looks, as though it mattered on a Glock... oh well.

Glocks are those gun-shaped things made out of recycled frisbees that those of us in the public sector are often required to carry. While cheap to buy and easy to maintain, they lack any sort of soul. But at least they are cheap, and every dollar we save on silly things like guns is a dollar we can spend on community policing programs. Did I mention Glocks were cheap?

Just so I am clear. This YoBo sight is cut for the Kimber Adjustable site cut?
Like those found on a Gold Match?

Regards,
Greyson

Sorry, Greyson - This sight replaces the Kimber fixed rear sights only.

Ted,

Are you making the new sights for the Mepro quasi Novak sights on the Warrior?

Any plans to do the YoBo rear sight with a narrower notch?

My eyes are funky (read, really bad), and I need a narrower notch. The narrow rear opening allows my eyes to bring the front sight into better focus. For my eyes, the rear notch width on a BoMar is about perfect when paired with a narrow front sight. The 1911 I shoot the best and fastest is a 76 Government Model that John Harrison built into a replica of a Wilson Combat Special. That pistol wears a dehorned and buried BoMar rear and a custom front post sight.

Scott, It would probably be easier to have someone make you a one-off front sight that's a bit wider to compensate for the .140 rear notch on the YoBo sight. Best,

Scott,
There are about a dozen sights here that have no notch at all. When a 1/8" endmill breaks during a run, the run finishes without that step being done.

I'm sure one can be made up to your specs.

One made to my specs sounds interesting, and I want to try something. Let me confer with John before I get too far ahead of myself.

This is off subject, but what finish is on that Kimber? It doesn't look blued, but I really like the way it turned out.

Just wanted to say thanks to both Mr. Yost and Mr. Harrison for working to meet my request for a custom sight notch in the Yo-Bo Professional Sight for a pistol John is building for me. The willingness to meet my wants is much appreciated.
