I know who this one goes to and he is gonna be absolutely stunned. I saw this one in it's early stages and knew it was going to be special. Tim, it will be nice to see this one in the flesh. Great work. Shot is going to have some very kewl stuff.

It is definitely OK to ask, however an e-mail would be the appropriate means with which to do so.

Is that a Heinie magwell, extensively trimmed down and opened up? The craftsmanship exhibited on that Colt is breathtaking! What kind of slide stop did you use, if you don't mind me asking?

Oh well, another keyboard lost to drooling!

That bad boy will be wearing my prints in another two weeks. Awesome workmanship, Tim!

No, that isn't a Heinie. It started life as a Morris, but is pretty extensively modified. The slide stop is a factory Colt - albeit tweeked just a tad.

Thanks for the kind compliments, all.

Tim,

Can you tell us something about that grip safety. I don't think that I've ever seen you use that one before.

It IS a little different from my norm, but I kind of like it, so you'll be seeing it more and more on my customs.

The owner of this piece was kind enough to cut me loose to do whatever I wanted in the building of his custom.

Believe me when I say that doing this is how to get the best you'll be able to get from a smith. It will give him (or her) the opportunity to let the creative juices flow.

I strongly urge any of those that can get to Shot Show to do so. Then go to the LTW booth and you will find the true meaning of "Custom". After you've seen the work of all these guys (LTW boys), then go look at the other 1911's, the other stuff just does not compare.

Tim, great work.
