Just a quick pic (I'll have to take some close ups later) of my Jardine Cmndr. and a lightly warmed over SA loaded pkg by Don Williams of the Action Works. Both have served me well. If I did it again I would have some things different. Tastes change, and certain things go up and down the priorities list. I am; however, happy with both of them.

The Jardine was built in several trips years ago to John. The usual Jardine items like the flat top slide with serrations, french border and lo-mount Bomar, rounded ears. Kart barrel, dehorn, etc. Everything but the nice 30lpi checkering (completed by Ted Yost - thanks Ted!) and lower reblue, done by Jardine.

The Springfield was an older loaded pkg fullsize, blue model. Don added a FLGR (yes, I know!) to replace the crappy 2pc stock one, a dovetailed frontsight (the stock one was staked), a reliability job, dehorn (plenty of sharp edges out of the box), and then sent it to Virgil Tripp for a matte hardchrome. I added the McCormick thin grips to check out the feel (not bad).

Each has gone through a high round count (for a 2 day class) class at Walt Marshall's - http://www.awt-co.com with only the ocassional bobble. The Jardine once started up on me due to my neglect of changing out a recoil spring but was fine immediately when it was changed out. My bad

Kudos to Jardine, Williams and Yost. I would have a 1911 (as well as whatever else they customize) built by them anyday. ...Of course, everyone else here as well! :P

Kewl. Detailed pictures would be a good idea. 8) I really like that Commander. It looks like Don took care of you on the Springfield. Thanks.

with only the occasional bobble
It must've been that FLGR.

Sorry, had to. Somebody probably was gonna.

Really, though, nice guns.
I looked at them yesterday, I think it was. It takes about 15 attempts for our computer to get any pics up, but it's always worth it here.

Here's another pic of it, hopefully not too dark. Couple of favorite items alongside - early 90's era two tone Omega SeaMaster Professional, Rex Stout books, Cendex IWB and a Brian Wagner/Okuden custom knife w/kydex sheath.
