I thought this was an interesting piece as I perused Gunsamerica today. I know there are some big Austin Behlert collectors here, so if this is authentic it seems like a small price to add to the collection.

No problem, I figured for $800 bucks someone would snatch it up.
:D

I could care less for a PP .380 but a PP-22 is one of the best pistols I ever owned. Way big fun, reliable and quite accurate. I always thought if I could get one with a decent trigger and sights I would bite. Looks like you got there first! Neat stuff, for sure. That Austin sure was one of a kind.

I find it hard to let a reference to Austin pass without chiming in, what a kind and pleasant man he was, besides all the great things he did.

I am sure I have posted this before but what piqued my interest in collecting Behlert custom guns was Austin himself. After picking one up on trade I contacted him and we developed a virtual friendship. Never had the pleasure of meeting him in person but exchanged email several times. Bought a few items from him. He was a gentleman. I miss his longwinded posts about the way things were back when.

Austin,
He was a definite gentleman. My father spoke highly of him. It was kind of wierd talking to him. He remembered my father. My father was into bullseye and revolvers.

Austin made an incredible sight. If I could only convince my mom to take the Austin pistols out of storage. There should be 4 or 5.
