I seem to remember a few years back someone was manufacturing a sight pusher that was supposed to work on all types of auto slides.
Can anyone help me out? I would like to purchase a pusher that will work on most, if not all auto slides.
Thanks in advance for the help.

I can't think of one, Bruce-- but I'll keep my eye out for it.

Thanks John, I think that's the one I remember reading about.
I'll give Brownell's a call.

The one from brownells the universal seems to work pretty well we have one at our pistol range. We have to work on a variety of guns and it has several inserts for diffrent slides. A good vise and a brass or plastic drift works okay too for me.

I have one and it is a good addition to the tool box. Being universal on occasion it is may need a bit of wedging on some slide to make a solid contact on the sight.

It is very handy on the various front sights with the various dovetails.

It is sufficient if, and I repeat, if the sight is do not have to be driven and can be pushed. For example some Kimber rear sights have to be driven off and not pushed. There are other sights out there mounted the same.

Hope this helps.

Midway USA's catalog lists a B & J Machine Model 500 Universal Sight Tool for 122.99. Product # is 163-458. Sounds like what you're looking for.

I have one of those B&J Model 500's, and they work well. Only slide I couldn't figure out with it was a Springfield XD -- somehow couldn't get a good enough grip on that stepped-sided slide. Works great on SIG's, 1911's, etc, and you can even push out Kimber sights with it if you follow the directions and let the sight soak in a bit of Kroil first. Hope this helps -- good luck!
