I just finished a Series 80 Colt for a customer and thought I'd show some pictures of the finished product.

List of upgrades are: Action job, Bevel and Polish Magwell, Checker at 30LPI, fit Kart Barrel and EGW bushing, Ed Brown Beavertail, Miller Custom Mainspring Housing (30 LPI), Greider Trigger, Tactical Thumb Safety, weld the front sight pocket before Flat Topping and Serrating, re-cut the front sight dovetail and install a Miller Custom front sight, The frame and slide was bead blasted and the sides brushed polished with a high polished barrel hood.

Here is a picture of it before I started.

And here are a few after I finished. The customer requested to omit the Miller Custom font on the dust cover.

Thanks,
Bob

Very nice! That barrel looks like a mirror. I can't quite tell. Did you do a border on the slide?

Bob,

You took a butt-ugly gun and made it great. Helluva fine job in my opinion. How about some shots of the left side.

We have a saying in back in England, something along the lines of " You can't polish a turd".
Well, apparently you can.
Nice job sir !

Yes, the barrel hood was is high polished, along with the feedramp and barrel throat.

I have found that when you do a nice barrel/bushing fit, if you high polish the barrel "flare" at the muzzle, and do a nice polish inside the bushing, it gives you nice results.

Unfortunatly, I didn't get any pictures of the test target group...1.3" at 50 yards.

She's a sweet shooter to boot.

I had some duplicate file names for my pictures that were messing up my thumbnails on my website. I have corrected the problem and thought I would share more pictures of the Stainless Colt.

Here you go.

I got a new 10.6 Megapixle camera, but am still learning how to use it so the images may be a little fuzzy. I'll keep working on my photographing, but you get the idea.

Take care, thanks for the positive comments.
Bob
