That's what he said to me.

Not wanting to add to his dilemma, I gave him the best advice I could.

I said, "Get both".

He said, "Now why didn't I think of that".

That's how these came to be. 8)

Dig the rear....I kept zooming, older eyes, to see if they had double french, I think not...owner's biggest dilemma now is going to be which one to carry

Well Tim that's why you make the big bucks-- see I'da just said "OK then, I'll cut a 5" off so you'll have a gun halfway between Gov't and Commander length".

Great set and solution!

I kinda had the same problem....Tim is fixing that problem. Although I wanted to squeeze in a long-slide version into that sandwich of 1911 deliciousness....alas, could not afford it.

The result just sells itself. No question about it.

Do what I do-- carry the bigger one under a shirt (or coat) in the wintertime.

S'too bad the frames on Commanders are shorter than the 5"er's. If they were the same, Tim coulda done him two guns on a single frame.

As usual, fantastic work, Tim!

What a remarkable set of pistols. The very fine scribed French border has helped me make the decision to include bordering on the pistol I am having built. Alongside what will otherwise be rather straightforward aesthetics I think the simple, elegant border will set off the design perfectly.

I wouldn't want to have to make the decision as to which to carry.
