Here is a retro pre-70 Coly built by Dave Stagg with Kart barrel and perfect 20LPI checkering. My favorite base guns. Kings hardball sights, serrated at the rear blade. Lots of nice dteail like the reshaping of the slide stop into 1911 style.

Yup, Dave's work is super clean--among the best, IMO.
His bluing is perfect and checkering is flawless.

Seriously, though, that's a great looking, clean, classy 1911 on a beautiful base. The old Colt rollmarks are the reason we like them so much, huh?
